CURRICULUM

Students in the Creative Technology & Design Programme combine technology, design, and creative strategy to create work for the modern world. Students study design as well as UX/UI, AR/VR, motion and interactive. They also learn to code, initially for the web and then for other platforms and media. Students are placed in teams in their final year, creating and prototyping technological inventions that conventional advertising and design students would find it difficult to achieve on their own.

SEMESTER 1

FOUNDATION STUDIES

This semester serves as an introduction to the creative industries. The focus is on form, and its interaction with function. Students learn the fundamental principles of design, coding and new technology as the pedagogical building blocks for their future specialisations.

SEMESTER 2

CONCEPTS, DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY

An important semester of transition, students learn about the basic elements of graphic, coding and new technology integration; Students participate in international workshops and intensive project weeks that combine conceptual methodology, technical training and research processes.
Going a step ahead from the technical foundation, students consider aesthetics and their relevance to the world. Through projects that involve teamwork and strategic completion of cross-functional live client assignments, students refine their ability to infuse creativity & technology in their concepts.
They also have the opportunity to go France for a week-long Study Trip.

SEMESTER 3

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

The pedagogy used in this last semester focuses on integrating creative and technological context with one’s personal problem solving approach. An emphasis is placed on understanding complexity and blending of design strategy with technology usage. Students work on a focused creative technology project, as well as a grand project that requires them to address a brand problem through design. They finish the year armed with a curated portfolio, background experience and a mindset ready for the industry.
