Workshop Highlights
Learn to observe, sketch and decode type. Explore beautiful letterforms and how they play a major role in our lives, no matter what our inclination or location. It may escape our notice but from road signs to shop fronts and newspapers to digital content, we have a constant interface with typography. Typography reflects cultures and is the backbone of any visual language. During the workshop you will learn a step-by-step process of creating your own unique lettering.
Faculty Highlights
Mr. Chandan Mahimkar
An Alumni of Sir JJ Institute of Applied Arts, Chandan has worked over two decades for some of the leading advertising, design and digital agencies in India. He served as a Chief Creative Officer of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi India, starting & spearheading its design division to help some of their biggest clients. His love for space design has helped him co-create some of the most raved bars and restaurants in Mumbai and Pune. His work is consistently published in some of the most reputed typography and lettering books by Goodtype in the US and Typism in Australia. Currently, he runs his own Design Studio which specializes in branding, custom typography/lettering and space design for restaurants/bars.
